Panorama Hideaway was built in 1988 by Sakis Pandonis, who was previously the proprietor of a camping site where he became the pioneer of hospitality and entertainment during the early seventies boom in tourism on the island of Corfu.  Panorama Hideaway was named after its breathteaking views and secluded location and was transformed from a piece of rocky scrubland into an ideal holiday setting, slowly developing and improving over the years and gaining repeat visitors and friends for life.  Sakis’ vision all those years ago of a friendly, peaceful, professional and welcoming hideaway for guests who are here to discover the real Corfu as well as relax and enjoy true Greek hospitality, has been realized to the fullest extent.

Alongside Sakis, to assist in the smooth running of the accommodation and the pool bar and restaurant, is his daughter Sarah.  Half English and half Greek, Sarah has been involved in the tourism sector since childhood, as her father’s work wasn’t just a job but a way of life.  After school, Sarah spent some years in England, where she worked in many different fields, eventually choosing to train and work as a teacher.  Eventually, missing her home and family, she returned to Corfu where she settled, had a family, continued to work as a teacher, specializing in teaching English and Greek as foreign languages and, more recently, preparing to take on the family business with the guidance and support of her father. Old meets new, hard work and dedication, experience and vision are the key ingredients for the future of Panorama Hideaway.  We hope to grow and continue to meet the growing and changing demands of our guests.
